Neill Blomkamp presented a new work from his pilot project.
Director Neill Blomkamp, known for his work on the films Elysium, Robot named Chappi and District 9, for which he was nominated for an Oscar, released an animated short film Adam made with the game engine Unity. The seven-minute video tells the story of a girl who contracted an unknown virus and goes to a man who is rumored to be able to cure her.
This is not Blomkamp’s first such work: he has been publishing short films for several months as part of a pilot project, whose goal is to test the audience’s interest in his ideas for new films. Among the released videos are both animation works and mini-films featuring famous actors, including Sigourney Weaver and Dakota Fanning. The author assumes that the best of short films will eventually grow into full-fledged pictures.
