In the US, two friends 60 years after accidentally meeting each other found out that they are brothers

Residents of Hawaii, Alan Robinson and Walter McFarlane, who have been friends for more than 60 years, accidentally found out that they are siblings. As Time writes, men met at school. MacFarlane never saw his father, and Robinson was adopted: he heard nothing of his biological parents.

Separately from each other, both men tried to find out at least some details about their relatives, but all attempts were unsuccessful. This continued until one day MacFarlane decided to try to find his father with a DNA test. After receiving the results of the analysis, the MacFarlane family began to search for coincidences: it turned out that a person recorded in the database as Robi737 had an identical X-chromosome. It soon became clear that Robi737 was Alan Robinson, who also tried to find his father with a DNA test.

A little later, Robinson and MacFarlane learned that they had one mother. “What happened to us is just amazing. This wonderful feeling is still in me, and I do not know how long it takes for it to disappear,” Robinson says. “This is the best Christmas gift.” I could only dream about that.”
